10 Questions with Chloe Temple

  1. You’ve mentioned you love grabbing sushi after shoots. Have you ever thought about bringing that experience home with something like a wooden boat style serving bowl?
I absolutely love sushi, especially after a long day on set. I think eating healthy when you’ve been working very hard. All day is very important. And there’s something about the wooden boat that just makes it that much more fun. If I could sit in the comfort of my own home and eat delicious sushi out of a wooden boat all the time I would absolutely love that! That sounds next level fancy 😉

2. Can you tell us more about Volt and Ruby? Did the movie All Dogs Go to Heaven have anything to do with choosing their breed?

Volt and Ruby are my dogs. They're both German Shepherds, and I am obsessed with them. I spend every waking moment with them when I'm not traveling or shooting. All Dogs Go to Heaven has been my favorite movie since I was literally this big, but I don't think that movie specifically made me want German Shepherds. I picked German Shepherds because they're so smart, funny, and goofy. They just crack me up. All day long, my dogs are laying at my feet, following me around. They're so loyal, and they make me so happy.

3. Be honest, was that the moment you thought, "Okay, I'm going pink?" And is the pink hair here to stay?

Well, I wish it was! I do love having pink hair, and I think it fits my personality quite a bit. But deep down, I love being blonde. You know, blondes have more fun. And I can always be pink again. I can always come back around. So it's not here to stay, but it does look pretty good, doesn't it?

4. Your mirror selfies often feature lots of beautiful plants. Do you find that being around nature helps you unwind outside of work?

My house is full of plants. I cannot tell you why I love plants. I love the aesthetic they add, and I just love taking care of things. I'm a nurturer. I've got a green thumb. I do spend a lot of time outside. I'm a nature girl. I love hiking in the woods, playing in the dirt, swimming, taking my dogs to some weird random place, some mountain or some forest. I spend a lot of my time, when I'm not shooting or traveling, getting outside, enjoying nature, and getting some sun. It's something that helps keep longevity in my career, and I really appreciate it.

5. We took a peek at your holiday wishlist. From cozy bedwear to statement boots, you've got great taste. We also spotted Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna. Would you say that reflects your signature scent, or do you have another go-to fragrance that defines you?

I love that you guys checked that out because it's got a lot of good stuff on there. You should go check it out. I'm a very big person when it comes to scent and smell. If a guy looks really good but doesn't smell very good, it doesn't matter. I can't do stinky. I love making sure that I smell good. I think that's a good way to present yourself to new people — smelling nice, looking nice. I wouldn't say I have a signature scent because I collect a ton of perfume, but if I did, it would probably be something like chamomile or patchouli because I'm a little hippie girl.

6. When did you first get into snowboarding, and what gear do you enjoy wearing the most when you ride?

You'd be so surprised to find out that I started snowboarding in Arizona, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where there is actually snow. I used to go to a place called Snowbowl in Flagstaff quite a bit, and there's a lot of snow there. I started snowboarding probably when I was a freshman in high school, and I've been doing it ever since. I love it. I think it's a great way to stay active during the winter, and it's hard, which keeps me determined and trying. I'm always busting my ass, which is humbling.
If there's one thing I'd recommend, it's step-in bindings. Step-in bindings save so much time. There's no strapping up and down. You just step your boot in and go down the mountain. It's saved my life quite a bit when it comes to wasting time and helps me focus on what I'm actually doing. I highly recommend it!

7. We've seen your clown makeup selfies. Are there any makeup creators who inspire that style?

I'm just a little clown girl! I love making people laugh, being goofy, and messing around. The reason I started doing clown makeup was because I started working with a creator called Smut Slut, and he is just another little clown boy like me. We get along amazingly, and he inspires me to be the goofy little slut that I am, so go check him out.

8. In 2022, your visit to Dr. Christopher Dorsa for a chiropractic appointment went viral on TikTok and YouTube. What was that experience like, and have you gone back for additional sessions since then?

Dr. Dorsa is the best, and he's actually based here in Denver, which is amazing. That experience was one of the best experiences I've ever had when it came to a chiropractic adjustment, which can be very scary. I was a little nervous, but he took really good care of me, and I would highly recommend going to him. He's very educated, he knows exactly what he's doing, and I felt very safe and very comfortable working with him. I get to see him all the time because he's in my city.

9. What is your personal checklist for getting through an Arizona summer?

That is a really good question because Arizona summer is hot. It is so hot. But I personally love the dry heat — it's my favorite. If you're stuck in Phoenix in the middle of summer, you need to find a pool, a lake, a pond, a sprinkler, some sort of water source, and just hang out by the pool all day with a nice cool drink, and you'll be just fine, I promise. But I love Phoenix. It's my home, and I love it so much.

10. As a fellow 5'3" girl, what are some advantages of being petite that people often overlook?

Well, besides being fun-sized and getting thrown around, which I love, I would say one advantage is airplane rides. I just curl up in a little ball and fall asleep like a tiny princess, then wake up wherever I am nice and well rested. I stretch and feel so good. All my bigger, taller friends absolutely hate me for it because everybody else is so cramped. It's very nice being tiny. I enjoy it.
