What is one piece of advice you always give yourself?
Don’t stress! I'm really hard on myself, I'm a perfectionist, and I like to be prepared for any situation. That level of anxiety was keeping me from living a happy life. I’ve worked hard to not let stress and anxiety overcome my happiness especially when shooting scenes. I probably need to get “Don't Stress” tattooed on my body at this point!
Does LA or Chicago have a better food scene?
I love the food in LA better because I’m a vegetarian and enjoy vegan options too! That can be hard to find in the Midwest sometimes. But Chicago has a better bar scene hands down, people are friendlier and the drinks are always cheaper!
What is your ultimate hype up song?
I’m really going through a metal phase with music right now so I love Deftones “Shove It” to hype me up, especially before the gym.
What’s your favorite movie ever?
My favorite movie ever is Wolf of Wall Street! I always try to channel that insane level of drive and energy for business, and it's the inspiration for my last name ‘Stratton’. The main character, Jordan Belfort, starts a company named Stratton-Oakmont.
Would you rather have a relaxing night in or a wild night out?
I hate to bore you but I'm a relaxing night in girlie! I’m all for snuggling up with a good movie and a bottle or wine. Nothing beats Netflix and Chill with the right guy!
What is your favorite sports team?
Go Chiefs! I’ve loved the Kansas City Chiefs since the Alex Smith days and now that we have Mahomes, I'm still a lifelong fan. I lived in KC for a few years and even saw games at Arrowhead Stadium! I try to see them play in-person once a year- this year it’ll be in Green Bay when they play the Packers, fingers crossed for an away win.
What type of music are you into?
My music taste is all over the place- I love rap and metal and EDM! It totally depends on my mood, but I use music to influence my energy and channel what I want to feel that day. If I'm anxious I’ll listen to metal because I find the screaming oddly calming. If I need a confidence boost it’s always rap. And if I'm driving late at night its EDM or Phonk.
What’s your favorite season and why?
I love winter! I’m a cold weather girlie. I grew up in Alaska and other cold climates so it doesn’t bother me to be below zero, it feels like home. I can’t imagine a winter without lots of snow!
How do you take your coffee/Starbucks order?
I'm a fiend for coffee. I drink the same thing before every shoot and I usually UberEats it to my shoot location- Grande hot oatmilk latte with two pumps of caramel syrup! Fun fact: I NEVER drink iced coffee, even in the middle of summer.
